    Bankers are the person who works to interact with the customers and other clients of the bank and fulfill their needs. They also promote bank services and products.

    Banker Job Description

    Bank wants to hire a person who is client-oriented along with professional etiquette to maintain the banking environment. The bankers are also known as retail bankers and commercial bankers. Retail bankers provide services for the general public. Their work is to know and fulfill the needs of the customers, do all types of financial transactions and even they can provide them financial advice if they need it. On the other hand, the work of commercial bankers work is to deal with small and many medium-sized companies. Their work is to convince them to use their banking services which will prove profitable for both the bank and the company.

    Roles and responsibilities

    • The banker is responsible to manage all types of opening and closing accounts and keep records of all the transactions.
    • Helping the new clients by telling them the bank procedure and another onboarding process.
    • Maintain all the transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
    • Listen to the queries and complaints of the customers and clients and try to solve them.
    • Work according to bank policies, legal rules, and regulations.
    • If needed, then the banker is also responsible to perform administrative and clerical duties.
    • Work along with other banking professionals to provide high-quality service to clients.
    • Responsible to do the work of writing cashier checks or money orders when it is necessary.
    • Explain to the clients about banking services and products.
    • Provide reports and periodic analyses to the seniors.

     Banker key skills required

    • Good Knowledge of the banking sector.
    • Able to multitask in organized and according to priority.
    • Excellent numerical skills.
    • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
    • Excellent computer skills including MS office.

     Education, training, and Certifications

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in business administration, finance, or another relevant field with a recognized university.
    • Work experience in the banking sector or other financial work.
    • Experience working in sales and customer service.
