    Facilities manager works which are related to all type of services that are helping in completing the tasks. The services include the management of technology, catering, cleaning, parking, security, etc.

    Facilities Manager Job Description

    The experienced facilities manager is needed to look after all the activities which are included in any type of service. They are hired to look after the building maintenance which includes maintenance of the heaters and AC, security, parking, cleanliness and maintains the entire work environment. The main aim of the facility managers is to ensure that all the business accommodations are free from problems and hazards and the employs can work with the free mind at best conditions.

    Roles and responsibilities

    • Responsible to manage all types of security, maintenance, and services of work facilities to fulfill all types of needs of the employee.
    • Managing the contracts which are related to the services including parking, security, catering, cleaning, etc.
    • Stay active for the well-maintained supply of water and electricity.
    • Responsibilities to manage and supervise the staff who are indulging in various maintenance work.
    • Candidate should maintain the budget and take a further step according to it.
    • Their work is to ensure that all the services and facilities should e according to government policies and rules.
    • Facilities manager work also includes looking after the building projects, refurbishments or renovations.
    • They are allowed to advise their superiors about any type of cost-effective advice.
    • Facilities manager should be active in making a draft and written reports.
    • Handle all types of insurance plans and manage all the financial and non-financial records.

    Facilities manager key skills required

    • In-depth knowledge of technical/engineering operations and facilities management.
    • Ability to manage basic financial and accounting principles.
    • Good and excellent communication both verbally and written.
    • Ability to maintain leadership.
    • Candidate should have the skills for analytical/critical thinking.
    • Ability to handle lots of workloads.
    • Able to work in a team and supervise them properly.

    Education, training, and Certifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facility management, Business administrative or any other relevant field with recognized university.
    • The professional qualification like CFM will be given priority.
    • Experience of work in the relevant field will get an advantage while the selection process.
