My company is manufacturing, and there is lot of production work. Presently in night shifts are male workers, and we need to complete the production in time frame. There are few females who are ready for night shifts, but being HR person I want to know the rules and regulations of female night shift. Can I assign them the night shifts?
Equal employment rights usually govern whether a male or female is allowed legally to work in certain industries. Labor laws usually state specifically the same. However, when companies reveal their rules and regulations openly, it is up to the employee whether they want to comply or not or seek other employment opportunities. Every potential employee should do their homework on particular companies before making a comitment and delving into any given work situation.
